Who You Are in Christ (Read This on the Hard Days)

Feelings are not the final word

You will have days when you feel disqualified, unspiritual, and frankly unconvinced. On those days you don't need more effort — you need the truth read slowly.

Nine things that are already true of you

You are forgiven — completely, not partially. (Colossians 2:13–14)

You are a child of God, not a servant hoping to be adopted. (John 1:12)

You are a new creation — the old is genuinely gone. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

You are chosen before you had anything to offer. (Ephesians 1:4)

You are free from condemnation. (Romans 8:1)

You are the light of the world — Jesus said are, not try to be. (Matthew 5:14)

You are His workmanship, prepared for good works. (Ephesians 2:10)

You are an ambassador, carrying real authority. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

You are never alone — He is with you always. (Matthew 28:20)

Why identity comes before mission

Ministry built on proving yourself burns out. Ministry built on belovedness lasts decades. The reason we can send ordinary people onto hard streets year after year is that their worth was never on the line — only their availability.
