Love on The World

Privacy Policy — How We Handle Your Information

What Love on The World collects through this site, why, who processes it, where it is stored, and how to see, change or delete it. Plain words, no tracking cookies.

In plain words

We only collect what you type into a form. Browsing the site does not identify you. We use it to reply to you, pray for you, follow up when you ask us to, and send the emails you signed up for. We never sell or rent your information, and we do not run advertising or advertising trackers. This site sets no tracking cookies. Our analytics are anonymous: they count visits and actions, never who you are or what you typed. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Who we are

Love on The World is a Christian outreach movement that began in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 2014, and is part of Thy Kingdom Network. When this page says "we" or "us", that is who we mean. Questions about your information go to hello@loveontheworld.com. A real person reads every message.

What we collect, form by form

Nothing below is collected unless you fill in and send the form. Every form submission also records the page you sent it from and the page that referred you there, so we know which parts of the site are helping people. Email list: Your email address and, if you give it, your first name. Sign-up forms appear across the site. Contact messages and prayer requests: Your name, email, subject and message, from the contact page. Responses on Know Jesus: Your email, your first name if you give it, which option you chose, and any note you write, from Know Jesus. Because this is about your faith, we treat it as sensitive: only our team sees it, and we use it only to follow up with you personally. Partnering with Daniel & Katie: Your name, email, how you would like to partner, and any message, from the partnership page. Gifts are given on e3 Ministry Canada's own site; this site never handles payment details. Starting a group: Your name, email, phone number, the day, time and place you hope to meet, a group name and your vision, from Start a Group.

The movement map

If you tick "Put my group on the movement map" when you apply, a listing for your group — its name, city, description and meeting rhythm — is shared with the movement map used by this site, map.loveontheworld.com and Evangelize.World. Nothing appears until we have reviewed it with you. Your personal email and phone number are not published on the map. We keep your email privately alongside the listing so our team can reach you about it. To place the group on the map, the location you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to look up approximate coordinates.

How we use it

To reply and follow up: When you send a message, a prayer request or a response on Know Jesus, our team receives an email copy so someone can reply to you quickly. To send the emails you asked for: Joining the email list starts a short series of welcome letters, then occasional updates. Responding on Know Jesus also adds you to that list so the first letter reaches you even before we do. To review group applications: We use your details to contact you, help you start well, and decide together what to show on the map. To keep junk out: Forms include a hidden field and a timing check to stop automated spam. We do not use CAPTCHAs or device fingerprinting.

What happens automatically

Anonymous analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. It also counts a few actions — for example that someone joined the email list, sent a message, or clicked through to give — recording only which page it happened on and never anything you typed. Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load so we can improve them. On your own device: A few small settings are saved in your browser's local storage — for example your progress through the First Steps guide, a festival planner, or that you closed a pop-up. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. Offline support: The site stores some of its own files in your browser so pages load faster and keep working with a weak connection. Images and maps from other services: The Nations page loads country flags from flagcdn.com, and the movement map loads map tiles from Mapbox. Like any image on the web, your browser contacts those services to load them. If you choose to use your location on the map, your browser will ask your permission first.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of trusted services to run the site. They process your information only to provide their service to us. Supabase: Stores form submissions in our database. Resend: Delivers our emails, including the team copies of your messages. Vercel: Hosts the site and provides the anonymous analytics above. OpenStreetMap Nominatim and Mapbox: Location lookup and map tiles for the movement map.

Where your information is stored

Our database is hosted by Supabase in the United States (Oregon), and our email and hosting providers also operate in the United States. That means your information is stored and processed outside Canada and may be accessible to authorities there under their laws.

Your choices

Stop the emails: Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or visit the email preferences page from that link. We stop straight away. See, correct or delete your information: Email hello@loveontheworld.com and tell us what you would like. We will confirm it is you, then do it. Share less: Fields marked optional really are optional. You can always message us without joining the email list.

How long we keep it

We keep what you send us for as long as we need it to follow up with you and to carry on the ministry relationship you started. If you ask us to delete it, we will.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. If a change matters to how we use something you have already given us, we will tell you by email first.
